Marta Gómez Araújo was born in Vigo in 1975. She received a degree in Telecommunications Engineering in 1999 and a Ph.D. in Telecommunications Engineering in 2008, both from the University of Vigo. Between 1999 and 2000 she collaborated with the Department of Communications Technologies of the University of Vigo as a project engineer and between 2000 and 2005 she worked as a radio frequency engineer in the Department of Adjustment, Verification and Testing and the R&D Laboratory of the telecommunications company Egatel SL Since 2005 she has been a professor at the University of Vigo and her research interests include computational electromagnetism, antenna design, E3 studies (Electromagnetic Environmental Effects) and RCS measurement and control.
