Bio

Borja González-Valdés was born in Gijón in 1981. He obtained the title of Telecommunications Engineer and Doctor of Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Vigo in 2006 and 2010, respectively. From 2006 to 2010 he worked in the Group of Optical Antennas and Communications of the University of Vigo. During 2008 and 2009, he was a visiting researcher at Gordon CenSSIS, Northeastern University. In 2011, he joined the ALERT Center of Excellence, Northeastern University. In 2015 he joined the Department of Signal Theory and Communication at the University of Vigo as a postdoctoral researcher, where Ramón y Cajal became hired in 2018. Since 2019 he has been a Contracted Professor at the University of Vigo.

Modeling, design and simulation of complex electromagnetic systems, with special application to reconfigurable systems and shaped reflectors with exploration and zooming capabilities for space applications.
