Biography


Inés García-Tuñón was born in Pontevedra, Spain. She received the Electrical Engineering and Doctor of Engineering degrees from the University of Vigo, Spain, in 1999 and 2006, respectively. In Winter 1999, she was a Software Design Engineer with Telefónica I+D, Madrid, Spain. In Autumn 2000, she joined the Antenna Group of Signal Theory and Communications Department, University of Vigo, Spain, as a Project Engineer, where she was involved in the research and development of a instrumental radar system for the Spanish Navy among other projects.  In 2003, she became a part time Assistant Professor. Since 2002 she has been with a high school as a teacher in computer science, technology and electronics.
