We are a leading research group in the area of electromagnetism. Our scope covers antenna design and measurement, computational electromagnetism, EMC, radar, millimiter waves applications, electro-optics and quantum information technology.

Antenna design

The research about antenna analysis and design of the group is mainly focused on reflector antennas.



ICARA is a software for the Analysis and Design of Reflector Antennas which has been developed by the Antenna Group at the University of Vigo. It is based on the Physical Optics approximation of the induced currents on the reflector surfaces. Once these currents are determined the electromagneticfields can be computed both in the far field region and in the aperture zone
